Restaurateur and General Manager of the Venzin Group, Giorgina Venzin, decided to introduce a new concept to the Group's foodie establishments. Inspired by a trip to Thailand, Giorgina came up with the idea of launching Venzin Food Culture & Travel, a free in-house magazine distributed to the Group's eight venues: Pawpaw Cafe, Pawpaw Asian Kitchen, Mons Ban Sabai Thai Restaurant, Piggy Back Cafe, Pawpaw Asian Kitchen Tingalpa, Pawpaw Asian Kitchen Balmoral, Sundays Cafe and The Bloom Room cafe.
I was commissioned to design this 48-page magazine, starting with proposing magazine layouts and type options, with final approval from Giorgina and the magazine editor, Candice. In addition to building the magazine, I sourced and liaised with local printers and prepared finished artwork for print.

Venzin Magazine 01
Venzin Food Culture & Travel #01 showcases the delicious and colourful fare on offer at each of the Group's venues. The layout was designed to hero the beautiful photography, so the text was confined to a single column, in contrast to the two to four columns more typical of editorial-focused magazines.
Venzin Magazine 02
Venzin Food Culture & Travel #02 throws in new topics to the food culture and travel mix. Featuring an artist profile, designer kitchen advice and tips on how to plan the perfect party, VMAG02 is yet again a delight to see and savour.
